Introducing Cal Bostic came out in 1967 and according to the liner notes those in the music biz thought he could well be the singer to fill the shoes of the late Nat Cole. Born in Alabama on July 4th, Cal studied at the Chicago Conservatory and at the time of this recording he lived in Canada (Port Arthur) with his wife and two children. While I was ripping this album I found that I quite enjoyed it, so I offer it up here as a very rare slice of music. The songs are a mix of covers and his own compositions and are very easy on the ears. Besides a little bitty skip on the first song the album is in great shape. A slice of vinyl you probably won't find anywhere else.
